Piano concert by Kaisei Mizuno
Besides outstanding works by Beethoven, Mussorgsky, Franz Liszt and Zoltán Kodály, hear a piano fantasy by Kozaburo Hirai, a prominent composer of modern Japanese music, performed by the young Japanese pianist of the Academy of Music.
When?
Kaisei Mizuno was born in 1997 in Hadano, Kanagawa. He started learning piano at the age of 6. In 2016 he was admitted to the Tokyo College of Music as a scholarship student and after graduation he started studying at the 2nd year of MA at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music with Prof. Gábor Farkas and Prof. Balázs Réti.
In 2021 he accompanied the Hungarian National Anthem at the ceremony of the athletes returning from the Tokyo Paralympics. He participated in the masterclasses of Elisso Wirssaladze, Noriko Ogawa, Hisako Kawamura, Erik Tawaststjerna, Ronan O’Hora, Miroslav Kultyshev, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Yaron Rosenthal, Luis Fernando Pérez and Márta Gulyás. In 2019, she studied piano with Prof. Kálmán Dráfi and Prof. Sándor Falvai, and chamber music with Prof. Balázs Fülei, and was a student of the Tokyo College of Music Study Abroad programme at the Academy of Music. In 2020, he participated in the piano course of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music State University Seminar in Sapporo, where he was awarded the title “Best Student of the 23rd Sapporo Music Academy Seminar”.
