Cello concert by Yuya Mizuno
The young Japanese cello talent from Sapporo is a student of Miklós Perényi at the Music Academy. He started playing music at the age of six and won several international competitions. In a unique musical experience, the cellist performs works by Beethoven, Stravinsky, Brahms, Ligeti and Otaka.
When?
Yuya Mizuno was born in 1998 in Japan. He started playing the cello at the age of 6. He has won numerous prizes in Japanese and international competitions. He won both first prize and the audience prize at the 13th Tokyo Music Competition. He graduated at the top of his class at Toho Gakuen Music High School and studied at Toho Gakuen College Soloist Diploma Course on scholarship under Sumiko Kurata and Dai Miyata. He is also a Rohm Music Foundation Fellow. As a soloist, he has performed with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra in famous concert halls such as Suntory Hall and Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.
Since 2018, he has studied at the Liszt Academy of Music with Miklós Perényi.
